Welcome to the Wild Heart Project

I started the Wild Heart Project as a place to process my emotions and share my journey, starting with my own messy breakup. It’s become a space to explore the wilderness — connection, authenticity, self-discovery, and true belonging — often through my lens as a queer person.

In the end, I’m writing for myself. But, maybe my adventures will provide comfort and inspiration to others.

If that sounds good to you, I invite you to join me.

Anthony M. Wagner

Braving the Wilderness •

I’m Anthony, a mid-thirties queer guy who loves to read, learn, and grow.

In the wake of a challenging breakup, I’ve turned to the people I love the most — from friends and family to creators and characters — for guidance, wisdom, and strength.

I’ve also turned to myself, relying on all of the skills and ideas I’ve gathered from years of listening to books by folks like Brené Brown, Mark Manson, Matthew Dicks, and Adam Grant.

As I explore the wilderness, I’m documenting my adventures here, in this space I’m calling the Wild Heart Project.

And, now that you’re here with me, I’m excited to explore together.

Let’s go.
